Why are USA websites listing knives/swords cheaper than Canadian websites.

The answer is simple HIDDEN COSTS.

U.S. knife/sword websites fail to mention the hidden costs and risks to their Canadian customers such as:

           Canadian duties

           Brokerage fees

           Brokerage admin fees (charged by some couriers which can be $20 - $25)

           Dollar exchange rate (which fluctuates hourly)

           Dollar exchange rate premium charged by credit card companies ( 2-3%)

           High cost of international couriers
                     (within the U.S. couriers costs are very low example $5-$10 US
                      however shipping to Canada that fiqure can easily go to $30-$100 US.

           Risk that Canada Customs will seize the knife or sword while the U.S. company
           still demands its payment.

           Risk that the courier company will refuse to transport a weapon across
           international borders. This is becoming common for sword purchases.

will turn out to be more expensive than buying it in Canada and of course far riskier.
